OLED monitor — 300 refurbished or 400 new?
I’m buying my first OLED monitor and I’ve found two good deals on the same model, one refurbished from ebay ($300) and one new from Best Buy ($400). The ebay one seems to generally be in good condition, so the main difference between the two is that the new one has a 3 year warranty that covers burn-in, and the used one has a 2 year warranty that seems to just cover malfunctions and the like (does not cover burn-in). The model is an AOC Q27G41ZDF, and I plan to use it alongside my current 1080p IPS monitor for gaming and schoolwork. Can anyone tell me if it is worth spending an extra $100 for that warranty? I have zero experience with OLED monitors so I’m not sure what the risk for burn in is. Thanks!
