Transfer Registration

I have a friend who recently got in as a transfer (current freshman going into sophomore year) and they were wondering if they need to put down the enrollment deposit now in order to be set for registration that opens in early April. They were waiting for UNC Chapel decisions to come out in mid April but weren’t sure if there’d be no classes left if they wait too long.
