Vladimir on Netflix
Wow. Just finished binging this (Vladimir) with my husband on Netflix. There are sooooo many layers in this show! Was interested in if anyone else in the polyam community has seen it, and what the thoughts are?!
We watched it expecting the usual harsh portrayal of ENM and were pretty stunned that it had so many layers that could be unpeeled, not just about their "arrangement" of an "open marriage", but also the whole plot around desire. I don't want to spoil with too many details, and the previews on Netflix don't do it justice, so please excuse my vague-ness.
It's a show that I hope some of you have watched and can offer your take on it. If you haven't, do! It really showcases DADT, power dynamics, having vs not having open communication, and what does jealousy really show up in your actions.
Going to ask our monornorative parents to watch it and see what their thoughts are as well 😅
Will share my thoughts in the comments in a bit. I actually keep a log in my phone of moments in TV/movies of polyam representation, but this is one of the few series I've seen with a plot built around ENM.
