Hey all - hoping the Connecticut community might be able to help two really special foster kittens find their forever home.

This is Lane and Jake, a bonded pair we’re currently fostering through T.A.I.L.S. (The Alliance in Limiting Strays).

Jake is the outgoing one. He’s affectionate, fearless, and an absolute lap cat. If you sit down, he assumes that means he’s invited. Personal space does not exist in Jake’s world.

Lane is his brother and a little more shy. He’s gentle, very sweet, and affectionate once he settles in, but he needs a little time to decompress and feel safe in a new environment. Jake helps him a lot with that.

The challenge is that they don’t show well at adoption events. When they’re in a cage they get skittish and just curl together in the corner of their cage, so people often pass them by. At home though, they are some of the best kittens we’ve ever fostered - and we've fostered them all.

Normally we’d just keep fostering until the right home comes along, but one of our resident cats is about to start cancer treatment and will need a quiet recovery period for the next couple months. Because of that, we’re really hoping Lane and Jake can find their forever home soon. We just don't have it in us to put them in a Petco for window shoppers - it's too quiet, dark, and lonely there overnight.

If anyone would like to meet them, T.A.I.L.S. is hosting an adoption event tomorrow, Saturday March 14 at:

Garavel Subaru
300 Westport Ave
Norwalk, CT
10am - 3pm

There will be plenty of other kitties there. If they aren't your cup of tea, plenty of other kitties in need of a couch to crash on will be there as well.

If you’re interested in adopting them, you can submit an application through the rescue here: [https://www.tailsct.org/](https://www.tailsct.org/)

These two really are amazing kittens once they’re out of the cage environment. Jake will probably try to sit in your lap within five minutes, and Lane will dart from you for the first week or two, but if you can catch him, he purrs and vibrates like a foot massager.

If you’re looking for a pair of kittens who already love each other and will grow into a really sweet duo, these guys are it.

Happy to answer any questions.
