The OMEGA Speedmaster "Dark Side of the Moon" Apollo 8 Ref. 311.92.44.30.01.001 commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 8 mission, the first to orbit the moon. This 44.25mm masterpiece is crafted from a single block of black ceramic, offering unparalleled scratch resistance and a sleek, modern aesthetic. The dial is expertley skeletonized and laser-ablated to realistically represent the lunar surface, with the near side facing the front and the dark side visible through the transparent caseback. Yellow accents on the chronograph hands and strap stitching add a sporty contrast to the monochrome design. Inside beats the Calibre 1869, a specially decorated version of the legendary Moonwatch movement, featuring blackened bridges and mainplate. This watch is a technical and artistic tribute to space exploration.
