Recommendation for personal laptop and where to buy

Hi, I'm looking for recommendations for personal laptop for a working adult, and where to buy in Singapore for best prices! Budget below 1k. Just need basic features for daily tasks like updating resume, browsing internet, watching shows. No Macbook please! And looking for something lightweight / not bulky that I can carry around. TIA!
