Oral minoxidil results timeline

Oral min users at what month exactly did you stop seeing improvements in your hair? I've been on oral min 5mg for 5 months and results are not that impressive. I'm thinking of adding topical with tret or microneedling, but I want to know first when should I give up on waiting for oral min great results.
