resources to help move?
I live in massachusetts, thank god. but so many of the trans people I know, even those who live here, are so deeply depressed, hopeless, passively suicidal. if it’s not the legal onslaught of the political right it’s the impossible cost of living which, here in MA is pretty bad. everyone I know lives paycheck to paycheck or has family that can give support.
I tend to just kinda keep swimming. what else can I do? but I have a friend, we don’t talk much, but she lives in new hampshire, is trans, is disabled. she texted me today saying that she’s not ok, but she can’t move, so she feels as though “she’s just waiting to die”.
it hit me like a ton of bricks. i am supporting myself and two other people, have obligations to others, and I feel terrible but I just cannot help this friend. i’m spent, I have only so many resources, and i’m not a mutual aid fund anyways, im just an individual. but that line killed me. I want to do anything to help her. but all I find online is suicide hotlines and basic shit. idk what to do to help her other than just say. oh i’m sorry. I can’t do anything!!
maybe i’m overlooking something but, does anyone have any advice/groups to refer someone to who lives in the evil state of new hampshire?
