How to manage grief. Wondering if this gets better.

Mom Loss

Not sure if I want anything specific or I am just venting in to void. All I know is that I am struggling a bit at the moment and wondering if things get better. Does your ability to cope get better??

I lost my mum in September and then her partner died in December so it has been a rough couple of months. This, as well as work and health issues and I have been feeling very emotional. Everything is a first at the moment.

1st Christmas without her

1st birthday (mine) just a week ago

1st Mother’s Day this Sunday (in UK)

I’m feeling very sad and lonely and everything seems to remind me that my mum is gone and I’ll never get to see or speak to her again. I also never got to say goodbye, it was a very sudden death.

I want to get through the day but also want to acknowledge it but have no idea really what to do.

I have been thinking of

- buying some flowers (she loved getting flowers)

- creating a collage/scrap book of memories - Mother’s Day card, some photos etc

- writing a letter- all the things I wanted to say if I could of said goodbye.

- getting a takeaway and renting a film - activities she liked.

Any other ideas or suggestions??

Thanks.
