Im an atheist that wants to play the devils advocate

Grew up moderately heavy christian household..atheist around 11 years old. 8m in my 30s now. Always been enthralled with history and especially religion, predominantly Christianity. Been semi comfortable being an atheist for years. Always wanted there to be something more. Past year or so feel the urge to reconnect despite steadily listening to religious videos, reading the Bible, and speaking with others the whole time.

Can I voice my reasons for not being a Christian here, and have you guys tell me your thoughts as atheists on said matter? It would be easier for me to take my opinion, and yours, to find different answers for myself amoungst them. Do y'all do that kind of thing here?

I could apply almost all of those tags it seems. Very disconcerting place rn, probably due to my kids getting older, and the world growing darker. Thanks.
