I’m 26M, unemployed and broke. Should I go for a job or do freelancing?
Hi, I’m 26M, unemployed and broke. My dream was to become a pilot but sadly that didn’t happen due to finances. Thankfully, I’ve found something that I like.
The thing is I want to do freelancing. I actually love everything about it, except the dry months. It’ll improve not just my professional skills but the whole of me as a person. But my family is against it.
I have big dreams of earning huge sums of money through business and live that lifestyle. And I’m not just saying this bcz of the social media hype. I feel I’m genuinely good at it and I can do it.
But I also have contradicted thoughts that tell me to be practical. I’m 26 already and unemployed. I feel I am lagging way behind others my age. My friends have great jobs, getting married, well-settled. I feel instead of experimenting at this age, I should just get a decent job and earn some money. Support my family and take responsibility of my family. Luckily, I have an elder brother who’s running the family and our fam is pretty okay even without me not earning. But I feel the guilt of not providing. I should provide.
I’m constantly confused between these two sides. I would love if people experienced in the fields of corporate and freelancing/business can guide me a little. Id be forever grateful. Thankyou in advance.
