Am I the a**hole in my former game?

A long time ago, a few years over 5 or 6 I joined a game. I had a concept of a former slave that escaped with someone else (another player) and had ended up in a town, due to circumstances they collided with the others in a tavern and were forced to work together. Many moths had passed with my character interacting with the others and growing bonds but I noticed something. Other then the character I had tied my back story to and a new player most the time I didn't get many interaftio s with the others unless something big happened. Like a town ending event so I felt a bit off. I just kept playing even when I was shot and nearly killed by another pc on accident. After a bit I noticed more and more my character wasn't being listened to for certain choices that when all was said and done ended badly like attacking a group of few creatures that put numbered us 10 to 1. Resulting in everyone but my character from being knocked out and their gear swollen as I instead decided to after my last companion dropped to run, fearing being captured and used as a slave again. She apologized and went solo to try to steal their gear back but unfortunaly cpuldnt find the creatures but did find a camp of bandits and took their gear instead so the party wasnt unarmed. Telling then to wait for yhem to retrin only to find out they went througha portal to antoher place while already being unequiped and on exashtion so they nearly got party wiped again. Either was at this point the character I had made my backstory with had left the game for personal reasons and I had in character expressed that us made he feel bad and she had become more withdrawn. Noone else seemed to care for try to help them so they character felt like they party didn't care about them. As time grew this kept building up to the point they just left the party after finding out some of her old family might be alive. She apologized in a note and left the group a large amount of coins and gear as an apology again saying how they felt which the group didn't even read fully only the first bit and took the items. Noone cared yet again so I made my second character and that's when things started to get worse...."continued later:​
