Can I top up my coolant reservoir through the overflow hose?

I own a motorcycle that's fully covered in plastic panels. The coolant needs to be topped up. So, I have to remove four panels just to access the coolant reservoir. What scares me is these panels have several hidden snaps and I'm afraid that regularly pulling on these snaps will eventually degrade them. However, the coolant overflow tube is within easy reach (see picture). Can I inject fresh coolant through that overflow hose directly into the reservoir with a large 100ml (non-hypo) veternarian syringe?
