Is being promoted to a part time lead even worth it lmfao
I’m just an associate as of rn, my manager asked me today after my shift if I’d be interested in taking a part time lead position, I should feel happier about it being offered but like man I’m just feeling absolute dread and regret of saying yes
It only happened bc one of our leads broke their hand and the other suddenly quit. We can’t hold down employees at all, I have a basically new list of coworkers from when I originally started in December. Any new hire lead works for 2 weeks then quits. But I just don’t know if I find the extra dollar worth it for the amount of more work I’ll have to do and the new pile of things I can get in trouble for.
I am taking it regardless so it can at least be in my job history, so this is just more of a rant and questions. Just how much more will I need to do I know the basics . do your own voids and pickups. learning to open and close . Learning the computer aspect of things... Counting down tills. Is there anyway someone could lightly teach me before it goes in place? Teaching at my job is close to nonexistent, they throw u into ur first shift of that role alone and confused on what to do.
Also I’m part time being scheduled 35 pushing 40 hours a week😭 I don’t mind the hours but I’m working basically every day and it’s starting to drive me crazy that I’m there more than I am home because we are so shortstaffed
