After Mist, this story by Wei Feng Ji Xu made me cry into my pillow
I have a habit of looking up an author’s other works whenever I find a book I really love. It just feels like the chances of finding something that fits my taste are much higher that way.
So after falling in love with Mist, I searched for more by Wei Feng Ji Xu and ended up discovering a very underrated short novel called Luminous Body.
It’s only about 30 chapters long. I finished it in less than an hour… but when I came back to my senses, my pillow was WET from crying.
And the funny thing is — it’s not even a tragedy. The ending is actually happy.
What really got to me was the MC’s emotional journey. He starts out willful and impulsive, but slowly learns what it truly means to love someone and cherish another person’s feelings. That growth hit me in a very personal way.
At the same time, the ML’s quiet devotion and restraint made my heart ache for him.
Maybe love really is like that — painful and sweet at the same time, with tears and laughter mixed together.
If you’re looking for a soft, emotional love story you can finish in one sitting, I really recommend giving Luminous Body a try.
