Bay boat bass fishing

Has anyone bass fished out of a bay boat? If so can you give me some pros and cons? I live in Indiana but go north sometimes for walleyes and smallies. I am getting ready to buy a new boat and have it down to an Xpress or bay boat. Thanks in advance
