How do I actually switch my location?

This is probably a somewhat recurring question that pops up here on this subreddit. I’ve searched up this question many times and been drawn back to the same response. It’s not possible and you’d need to create a new account. Reaching out to Reddit for a bit of help.

A bit of backstory:

Originally established a PSN account in Australia on a PS3. At the time, didn’t expect to be leaving Australia or purchasing any other consoles. Nowadays, I have a PS5 and haven’t lived in Australia for a long time. I’d want to switch my location to the USA, since I haven’t been able to make any purchases online since I cannot pay with AUD.

I would email PlayStation support but I couldn’t find an email. The categories listed on their website were also not applicable to my unfortunate situation. Is there really no way to solve this? Haven’t made an online purchase in years. I wanna play games 😭
