Started dashing today and had an order come in for Taco Bell. No tip was added ($0 order), but I was doing hourly during peak time, so wasnt concerned. The order was also just for cinnamon twists (doordash tax and delivery fee would have been more than the cost for the order). That should have told me something was up.

Got to Taco Bell and get a call from Doordash (actually says 'DoorDash' on caller ID). I answer an a man says he's from support ('Tyler Williams'), and that the current order I was doing was paid for with a stolen debit card. He said I had to cancel the order and give him some information to validate my account; thought this was strange and asked him "If a customer paid with a stolen debit card, isn't that between you and them? Why am I going through this process?". He responds by saying its just the process that they have to go through when stuff like that happens. Said I would be compensated $25 for my time and a $25 gift car will be mailed to me to use for anything. He gave me the card number and had me add it to the fast pay card on my dasher app (also weird, but didn't think much of it since the call was coming from doordash).

Fast forward: Called doordash support like 39 min after to verify of it was valid or a scam, and they said it was indeed a scam.

And literally as I was typing this post, the dude calls again from a different number and tries to get me to give him access to my account again. I told him I had doordash on the other line and I was going to merge the call, then he just hung up. I do think he made the mistake of calling from his real number (21O-884-17O5 😌)

Called doordash back to update them with the new number the scammer called from and the agent basically said they dont do anything about scammers because there are too many of them...seemed like a stupid reason, but shouldn't have expected anything less.

Changed my passwords and all of my information after the first time, likely why the guy called back bc he didnt have access anymore.

Kinda over DD ngl...

Stopped my scammers
