Found in petrified wood dig site.

Found in a dig site with a lot of petrified wood specimens. Has the texture of a young scallop shell. Six columns attach to two dish like ends. Doesn’t look like bone. Middle of the dish has a pin hole that passes all the way through the structure. Please help.
