"Found a new one from Terrapin Beer Co for this #LongBeerFriday:
Depth Perception. Just look at that color and clarity- beautiful! Cheers! 🍻"

my question: Is it "Grateful Dead" Style?

Yes, in spirit and brand identity.

The Brewery Origin:

Terrapin Beer Co. was co-founded by Brian "Spike" Buckowski, a huge Grateful Dead fan, who named the brewery after his favorite album, Terrapin Station.

The Aesthetic: The packaging for Depth Perception and many other Terrapin beers features artwork inspired by psychedelic, classic rock, and "Deadhead" culture.

The Vibe: While the beer itself is not a sonic product, its marketing and "old-school bruiser" IPA profile aim for a loud, adventurous experience designed to pair with classic rock.

Terrapin Depth Perception Review

Based on various beer review sites, here is what consumers say:

Style: An old-school, unapologetic West Coast Double IPA.

Aroma & Taste: A "double wide" blast of resinous pine, grapefruit, and dank citrus, with a "pot-like" aftertaste, balanced by a light caramel malt sweetness.

Feel: High ABV (9.1%) means it is a big, brawny, and bitter beer, but it is described as surprisingly smooth and "dangerously drinkable".

Appearance: Pours a clear, deep amber with a thick, frothy white head that leaves good lacing.

Overall: Well-regarded by fans of bitter, non-hazy IPAs.
Key Details

Hops: CTZ, Chinook, Crystal, Centennial, Simcoe.

Type: Imperial IPA / Double IPA (9.1% ABV, 75 IBUs).
