Parental leave pay income test - making too much to be eligible
Looked into the centerlink parental leave income test and it looks like I'm not elegible. Is there any way around this?
Online it says for individual means test you need to make under $180,000 and for a family its under $373,000
I make make $250,000 a year Partner makes $150,000 a year
Combine income of $400,000 a year.
I plan to be pregnant and due to being a sole trader under my own ABN I dont get workplace mat leave.
I also don't get job security when my contract with my client ends so will be out of any income during mat leave and have no secure job to go to after mat leave.
Was hoping to get centerlink while on mat leave to ease the pressure/stress of no income.
Any ideas on how I can get around this?
