Stop being bitter and support gay men… (Heated Rivalry and the likes)

I think after seeing a post tonight I finally have my definitive opinion and view point of Heated Rivalry as a property… I don’t care that women or straight men write gay characters (although I’ve rarely seen straight men write gay male characters)… However as a “community” (we all know what I mean) or a group of people that identify as not straight… We have the ability to support gay/bi/ pan/ queen - male writers in their works and expect that that is what we are actually going to see be portrayed. Not sexy sexy sex… straight passing “twink” by any other name situations and it goes beyond heated rivalry… love Simon and victor and whatever the hell your name is female author(s) and such. Stop being bitter that they are writing your life story or have the “clout” you are desperate for and support them. That’s how we get genuine gay male stories told on screen and with the notoriety of the pen. There are so many gay/ queer male authors in history from Braum Strokes and potentially even Shakespeare himself… Let’s stop letting women lusting over gay sex get the final word and paycheck. WE deserve better. Just because it fits your high school experience doesn’t mean you have to one star review it. I’m avoiding saying openly gay authors and storytellers names here because I don’t want the bitterness of gays to go after them… But let’s stop bitching for five minutes and get genuine gay stories to the mainstream. Not horny women’s condemn consent masturbation stories sent to Hollywood.
