5070ti upgrade, PC keeps freezing
CPU: i7 10700F Ram: 32gb DDR4 3000mhz Mobo: Asus Prime B460M-K PSU: MWE gold V3 750w
I can't for the love of God figure out why my PC keeps freezing.. Upgraded from a 3070, and my PC would freeze on random moments, not when gaming at first. Had some help from people on the discord. But it's still an issue.. I was still running windows 10, so today I Clean installed windows 11, and installed all drivers needed. Updated BIOS as well. What I've noticed is when XMP is enabled, it would still freeze while clicking around in the desktop. I clocked down the speed to 2800, and everything seemed fine. Thought I'd see how it behaved in fortnite, and the performance was awful, so i tried changing some graphics settings and it froze again when I pressed apply.. Went in and disabled XMP, and everything seemed fine again, but this time when I loaded fortnite it froze before loading me in the lobby. Didn't have any of these issues with my 3070, even after I switched back to it before downloading windows 11. I know my CPU is being bottlenecked, but as far as I know, the GPU should still be an upgrade, but right now it almost seems like it's unusable.. I'm getting too scared to keep trying since my PC has froze over 10 times now, and holding the power button down is the only solution to get it back "working". What am I missing?!
