If I get monofocals for near vision, will I need simple distance glasses or progressives for distance?
I am leaning toward prioritizing near vision as I'm a life-long moderate myope and not sure how happy I'd be with near vision being blurry. I would miss clearly seeing my spouse's face up close, for instance.
Would this choice mean I'd have to stick with progressive glasses for the rest of my life? I really dislike them. Before I developed presbyopia my glasses worked great--I had very clear vision. The progressives narrowed my field of view a great deal and my distance vision was never again completely clear. I am hoping that I can ditch them and get simple distance glasses like I had before.
I don't mind glasses, have been wearing them most of my life, but I want to see *clearly* and *easily* with them.
