stylus and cartridge upgrade question.

Hello all:

I presently use an AT-3600L cart for my TT, but recently was gifted a Stanton 680 MKII cart with no stylus (or headshell). If I got a new stylus for the Stanton cart would that give me a 'better' sound than the AT?

Any suggestions for a possible new combo?
