What else can I try lifestyle-wise? Can’t be prescribed meds at the moment
I did the NASA lean test for my doctor, and the 10-minute active stand test for the Long Covid clinic I was referred to, and both were indicative of POTS.
My doctor doesn’t want to prescribe any meds until I’ve seen a neurologist and/or neurosurgeon for the chiari that was seen on my MRI.
Currently I drink 14 cups of water/day (I’m on a low-carb diet), take 3g of sodium through electrolyte powder, plus sea salt sprinkled on my food (don’t measure that), and have waist-high compression tights 30-40mmHg (I wear them occasionally atm).
When I did the active stand test for the Long Covid clinic, I was already doing the 14 cups of water and 3g of sodium and my HR results were still indicative of POTS.
I could increase to 4g of sodium maybe (my BP is still on the low end). I could wear the compression tights more regularly, like on a daily basis. Is there anything else I could do or try that isn’t meds?
