Spilling through the Cracks

Just in case putting a spoiler on this!! (Also a brief mention of Santos’ self harm and Langdon’s addiction)

The thought while I was working out fanfic this show and it was how Santos is kind of falling through the cracks a little bit. Like people are checking in on Robby and Mohan and Javadi and even Al Hashimi is making a phone call to another doctor for a potential mental health reason and I don’t think we’ve really seen Santos get checked in on. She’s also been a little more abrasive because Langdon’s back but it’s kinda like Javadi’s patient that slipped through the cracks except it’s one of their team members that is slipping through the cracks and is struggling. It’s just an interesting thing to see play out cause again, Javadi had a patient that fell through the cracks and now they’re having a doctor fall through the cracks. To me, I think it shows that the people who often take care of us and have very long, extensive days can sometimes be forgotten or left behind by people around them. Obviously the healthcare field is a very busy one and can be very stressful so sometimes it’s hard to see how people are feeling but in an environment like this I think you can be pretty tuned to how your colleagues are doing to even a small degree.

I also think that there is a similar arc happening between Langdon and Santos because in the first season, we find out he has an addiction and was hiding it from everybody and in this season, we find out she harms herself and I wonder since she caught on to his addiction that he’ll catch on to what she’s been doing. It would be really interesting to see you if that does happen or how they potentially reveal what she’s been doing. I can’t imagine Garcia doesn’t know because they confirm in the most recent episode that they’ve been having sex if it wasn’t already confirmed.
