Where can I go to just kinda meet people if I can't go to bars and the like?

I am presently twenty. Out of contact with most of my high school friends, literally all of my current friends beyond my roommate are online, and I really would like to just meet folks in-person. Bars and places of the sort look fun, even if I'm not interested in drinking, but American law's the issue, so I'm dead in the water on that front. I would have liked to do more physical activities, but unfortunately I've got some mobility issues that prevent it. Are there any decent places to go to just meet strangers while circumventing these issues?
