Any advice for a new player?

My friend got the game for me and we’ve been playing in our own world, I think I’ve got 30-something hours now and we started on a higher difficulty.

Any advice for us?

So far, I’ve been putting my skill points into agility and I’ve been using the magnum, hunting rifle and knife

I’m not entirely sure if my pistol is enough for the awful amounts of zombie groups that run to us.

We also got the minibikes, we have a small base in a church and ran out of space and want to move!

We’ve been looting the desert biome and genuinely got our asses kicked.
