Wiggly baby😵💫
We’ve been co sleeping with our baby since he was about 2 months old. It worked well for us with breastfeeding at night and just made me feel so much better having him next to me.
For about the last 6 weeks our household has caught sickness after sickness which led to some rough sleep for everyone. We are finally healthy but over the last week or so our baby has become VERY wiggly all night long. I’m constantly waking up being slapping in the face by my baby because he is sleeping on his side but rolls the top half of his body back throwing his arm our and then comes back towards me throwing his arm and hand at my face. On top of that, he wiggles and moves all night and has been waking every 1.5-2ish hours to nurse. He wiggles so much that he wakes himself up. I try to put him down around 7pm while I get stuff done around the house but he wiggles himself awake within 30 minutes without me there.
We’ve tried upping his calorie intake but he just doesn’t consume more than about 4oz from a bottle at a time. We offer him more frequent bottles and have started solids but he is still wiggling. Is this STILL the 4 month regression? He started the regression around the time he caught RSV about 6 weeks ago. I know he’s learning so much right now and his little body is growing fast but I’m desperate for sleep. And to not get whacked in the face 🥴 what can I do to make cosleeping easy again? I don’t mind him latching and nursing in the middle of the night, I just need relief from the wiggles 🥲
