CLI to estimate LLM costs before you start vibe coding

Ever burned through tokens without knowing the cost upfront?

vibe-budget is a CLI that estimates what your project is going

to cost across 85+ models before you write a single line of code.

You describe your project in plain English (or Spanish):

vibe-budget plan ecommerce with stripe oauth and supabase

It detects the tasks involved, estimates token usage (input + output

separately), and compares real-time prices via OpenRouter.

Output looks like this:

[BEST] DeepSeek R1 Quality: 96.1% Cost: $0.99

[REC] DeepSeek V3.2 Quality: 89.6% Cost: $0.72

[CHEAP] Gemini 2.5 Flash-Lite Quality: 68.0% Cost: $0.07

It also has a scan command — point it at an existing codebase and it

estimates how many tokens it would cost to refactor or extend it with AI.

No API key required. Prices fetched live from OpenRouter with 1-hour cache.
