My dad was at Lockheed for 15 years. The 2014 Compact Fusion Reactor patent states that a cylindrical tube aka a "tic-tac" is the best design for the for use of the plasma fusion. It also uses deuterium heavy water, which was found to be integral for refining uranium for the atom bomb and later for fusion reactors. In the literature for the Roswell craft's U-LATT propulsion system, it states that it uses deuterium heavy water. Deuterium was discovered in 1934, same year Fermi announced his discovery of the 'weak particle' aka neutrinos, which he discovered by blasting uranium with neutrons. The year prior, Fermi put Marconi in charge of the "Special Research" team for the Magenta craft. After Fermi left for the US in late 1938, used all of this to build the bomb at the Manhattan Project.
