What Happened to We Are the Take?

Tonight my dad just introduced me to the band that was his favorite to go see in Toronto in the Winter of 2007. I’ve been trying to find any information I can on them, why they stopped making music, or never released more. Obviously so many artists fly under the radar and or get fucked by record labels.

The thing is, the one album they produced and released (at least that I’m aware of), is one of the best things I’ve heard in a while. The arraignments are familiar yes fresh, the harmonies are some of the crispest and most tantalizing vocal presentations I’ve ever heard. Very reminiscent of Tally Hall in that way.

anyways. Does anybody know if they are still playing local shows or have any other releases not on Apple?
