Legion Pro 5i (16IRX8) hard freezes exactly on wake from sleep & boot. Gaming is 100% fine

Hey everyone, I’m dealing with a really weird freezing issue on my Legion Pro 5 (i7-13700HX, RTX 4060, 32GB RAM) and I'm totally stuck. The problem started about a week ago, but it seems to be getting worse.

Basically, the laptop hard freezes (screen completely stuck, no mouse movement, requires holding the power button to force shutdown) whenever it's trying to transition power states.

My boot cycle right now usually goes like this: I turn it on, it freezes. I force restart, it gets to the Windows login screen, I type my password, and it freezes again. I force restart a third time, and it finally boots up normally. But if I try to restart it normally after that, or wake it from sleep, it freezes all over again.

The crazy part is that once it actually turns on and gets into Windows, gaming is 100% perfectly stable. I can play Counter-Strike 2 or other heavy games in my AC-cooled room (22°C / 71°F) for hours without a single crash or stutter. I haven't done any repasting yet either, I just cleaned the fans recently.

I checked the Event Viewer right before the crashes, and it always shows an Event ID 219 (Kernel-PnP) saying "\Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_461D". This points to the Intel Innovation Platform Framework.

I’ve tried everything software-wise: disabled fast startup, completely uninstalled and updated the Intel DPTF/IPF drivers, and even disabled the service in Windows. Nothing worked.

Then I tried a hardware test: switching from Hybrid Mode to "dGPU Only" in Lenovo Vantage. The result? The laptop completely failed to boot and gave me a black screen. I had to wait and reset the BIOS just to get an image back using the Intel graphics.

Could this be Windows 11 install causing power state panics? Should my next step be wiping the drive and reinstalling Windows from scratch

Any help or ideas on what to test next would be really appreciated!
