Trying to move tcgs is so hard and expensive

For context, I play digimon and live in New Zealand.

I was getting kind of bored with how our community is in digimon. Most decks and singles, even for "bad" decks, are purchased quickly by many players. Probably due to fomo, idk. I don't even want to play into buying on release because our main singles seller keeps srs very high. 15$ per sr high. Im just tired of playing into absolutely crazy boards and decks that are strong, hardly hit, and keep getting new support every set (Royal Knights).

Ive tried to go to magic. The comunity isnt that friendly and the cards are expensive.

Just tried to move to Yu-Gi-Oh. I've played online sometimes. After finding a budget fun deck to play, I looked at our biggest Yu-Gi-Oh singles seller and was missing some cards after looking around online, my only option is to import 3 coppies of a common that is $2 usd and a 40 ish nzd shipping cost.

After trying to find a new deck, I found a tcg player store that sold relinquished with reasonable shipping. Build the deck, play it, new meta says no to all my cards. Wasted over $40 on a bad decks and travelled to some places to get some singles locally.
