Almost Lucid Dream… but my knee dislocated??
Last night I think I got really close to my first lucid dream. I had fallen asleep in my parents’ room while my family was talking. In the dream I “woke up” there and everything looked normal, but I noticed one object in the room was different. That’s when I started thinking I might be dreaming.
I got excited but tried to stay calm so the dream wouldn’t end. I decided to test it by jumping and imagining gravity was low so I could float or fly. I jumped, but gravity still felt heavy and when I landed I hit my knees hard. In the dream my knee actually dislocated and the pain felt incredibly real, which made me doubt if I was dreaming.
After that the dream shifted. I was outside in my neighborhood but it was completely empty and covered in fog. The sky looked like a cloudy sunset around evening time. The whole environment reminded me of the foggy atmosphere from Silent Hill. Later the dream changed again and I was back home eating dinner while my father talked about a ghost ritual like it was normal.
The weird thing is that this happened after I woke up at 4 AM to feed my cat and then went back to sleep about 10–15 minutes later. I didn’t use any lucid dreaming techniques, but this is probably the closest I’ve ever been to realizing I was dreaming.
