Is it better to buy online from a reputable breeder or locally from reptile stores?

Called a local reptile store and it might have been an associate who doesn’t work with the T’s but they didn’t know anything about them.

It made me question if it’s better to just buy from an online store that specializes in them and I’m curious what the general consensus might be?
