Corporate lawyer

I graduated in 2025, and I'm not from any NLU. I never had any serious thought about going into company law because I heard about the workload and stress, so naturally I never applied to internships related to the specialisation. Now, after spending one year preparing for switching fields, I've realised that money matters the most. So, I've decided to at least give it a go. I want advice from fellow lawyers about how I can enter this field with my background. Should I start reading bare acts? Also, I do have a reference but I want to save it as a back up and try to get a job by myself first. Thank you
