child welfare attorneys in AZ

CPS and Dependency Law

My nephew is in foster care in AZ. I live out of state and tried to intervene and obtain “kinship” custody. The state refused to establish paternity( bio dad is deceased but my husband was willing to complete the dna testing. I immediately felt like the state already had a plan to allow the foster parents to adopt the child. Mother is developmentally delayed and has a guardian and can’t live independently. She finally agreed to move to our state but her attorney told her that she couldn’t leave the state, which is inaccurate because they can ask for a state transfer. I need an attorney that is not afraid to fight the state. Case location: phoenix, AZ
