Work Authorization – I-751 Pending (Green Card Extension Notice)

I filed Form I-751 before my green card expired. On January 15, 2026, my USCIS online portal indicated that a letter would be sent to me, but I still have not received it.

I contacted USCIS, and they informed me that it can take up to 90 days to receive the notice. My concern is that I am currently interviewing for a new job, and my green card and work authorization card have both expired.

Since I have not yet received the notice or approval letter, I am unsure whether I am still authorized to work in the United States. I would like to know if I can continue the interview process and potentially accept employment while waiting for the letter from USCIS.
