How long until 'operational delays' get sorted out?

Been flying Southwest almost exclusively for the last 10 years. Not a business traveller, but am on at least 30 trips a year for personal travel, mostly within my state. I've been on 6 trips after the policy changes this year and 100 % of my 12 flights have been delayed by an hour or more. Historically, this wasn't an issue. Sure I've had delayed flights, but nothing close to what's happened this year. The last flight I flew was delayed by 3 hours and gate agents told us boarding/operational delays pushed the flights earlier in the day and caused a crew timeout.

I don't have an issue with the seating policy updates, the new lack of flexibility, the no check in bags etc. but if these delays are the results of the new policies then someone seriously dropped the ball on operational planning and execution....you gotta get something right lol. Wondering if others have noticed delays on routes they consistently fly?
