Apparently Tecno Spark 40 Series will receive 3 major Android updates (including HiOS 16)
I noticed many people worrying that the Spark series was missing from the HiOS 16 rollout announcements, so I checked the comments on Tecno Mobile Pakistan’s Facebook page.
Some users asked Tecno directly whether the Spark 40 series (especially the Spark 40 Pro+) will get future Android updates.
Tecno Mobile Pakistan replied in the comments:
“Yes, The Spark 40 Series will receive three major Android updates.”
So according to their official reply, the Spark 40 lineup should receive:
• Android 16 (HiOS 16)
• Android 17
• Android 18
This suggests that the Spark 40 series still has long-term software support even though it wasn’t shown in some early HiOS 16 device lists.
