Is it legal to sleep in car?

So I was going to go for vacation around Malaysia since I was fired and won compensation from my Company, so had some free time and free money to spend.

The problem is, if I stay in a hotel, I don’t want to leave the hotel and just lepak inside the room. So I came up with the plan to just sleep inside the car during the night. However I fear kena saman with the polis or worse kena masuk lokap.

I will not turn the engine on since I have portable fan with power bank.
