Coming back to Beyblade after 7 years

Hi everyone. Recently, I lost my dad. It’s been a rough time for my brother and me, and we’ve been getting back into some of our old hobbies to lift our spirits a little. We decided to pick up some Metal Fight ones for nostalgia, but we also want to give the latest system (Beyblade X) a try.

What would you recommend starting with? I know Beyblade X has been out for a few years now, and I’m a bit lost. I dropped out of the hobby around the Burst GT era, so I’ve clearly missed a lot.

I’ve been looking around for some cool-looking beys, and so far the ones that caught my eye are Whale Wave, Bahamas Blitz, Mummy Curse, and a few others. I’d really appreciate some guidance on essential items or gear I should get first.
