AliExpress March Anniversary Sale Guide (Useful if You Buy Home Assistant Hardware)

For people running Home Assistant setups who occasionally buy things like Zigbee sensors, smart relays, ESP boards, smart plugs, or automation accessories from AliExpress US — the March Anniversary Sale is starting soon.    I checked the official promotion rules released this week and summarized the key parts below. This sale is usually AliExpress’s biggest promotion in Q1, and if you combine several discounts together, the final price can be noticeably lower.    Here’s a quick breakdown of the timeline and how the discounts stack.    📅Event Timeline    March 13 – March 15  Warm-up period  Add devices to your cart  Collect available coupons    March 16 – March 25  Official sale window  Sale prices go live    Tip: Many buyers place their orders on March 16 (Day 1). Inventory tends to be highest, coupon availability is better, and limited promotions (like PayPal offers) sometimes run out quickly.    💰Main Coupon Discounts

  AliExpress uses a tiered coupon system during the event. The effective discount averages around 16%, but one tier offers the best value.  🎯Spend $15 → Save $3 (20% off) AECDC3 ← Best Value Tier  Spend $30 → Save $5 (16.7% off) AECDC5  Spend $49 → Save $7 (14.3% off) AECDC7  Spend $99 → Save $17 (17.2% off) AECDC17  Spend $159 → Save $30 (18.9% off) AECDC30  Spend $219 → Save $35 (16.0% off) AECDC35  Spend $329 → Save $50 (15.2% off) AECDC50  Spend $429 → Save $60 (14.0% off) AECDC60  Spend $509 → Save $70 (13.8% off) AECDC70    Additional Discounts You Can Combine

💰Influencer Cashback    There will also be a cashback campaign during the event.  Standard cashback: at least 8%  March 16 boost: cashback may reach up to 12%    💰Account Credits    If you opened AliExpress between March 8 – March 12, there is a chance credits were already added to your account.  During the sale (March 16–25), these credits may increase in value (estimated up to $3).  Check them before checkout here:  Account → Payment → Credits    💰PayPal Extra Discount    PayPal users also have an additional promotion that can stack with the other discounts.  Spend $159 → Save $15  Spend $259 → Save $30  These PayPal offers are limited and first-come-first-served, so they may disappear quickly.    If you're planning to add more smart sensors, switches, or ESP devices to your Home Assistant setup, this sale might be a decent time to bundle purchases and hit one of the coupon tiers.    Curious what devices people here usually buy from AliExpress for their automations.
