Knee bone snapping

Hi, 35, male, 60kg and 166cm height. Smoker and not taking any meds except vitamin D and creatine.

When i squat a bone on the side of my knee does this sudden snap movement. It doesnt hurt but is uncomfortable. What is it and should i do something about it.
