Is there a correlation between having higher testosterone levels and needing a lower basal rate?

Both my dad and I have low testosterone, and I take injections for it. I’ve noticed that every time I up my T dose I end up needing to lower my basal rate. Could there be a correlation or is it just coincidence? TIA
