Rescheduling second date advice after bad medical news

Questions / Advice Wanted

Hi all,

I went on a date a couple weeks ago with this girl who I have a ton of shared interests with. She's so stunning, gorgeous, and objectively out of my league. I'm trying to let this ride as long as possible until she realizes what I actually look like. The conversation went really great on our first date. We weren't out for long since both of us had obligations afterward, but we agreed that time flew while we were talking.

I told her that I'm really busy the next couple weeks, but we made a date for when I was available. I've been gone the past week in a different country for medical reasons, and I've made it a policy not to talk to someone while I go on these trips if we just started dating because that leads to me getting emotionally attached too quickly.

I didn't expect some bad medical news to come out of the blue, especially when you have a chronic illness that is unrelated and sort of "is what it is." I changed my flight so I can get another MRI to see if my dumbass bullshit brain cyst grew and that's what's fucking with my hormones.

Now, because my sim card still needs to be off, I have to go back to this woman on Hinge and ask if we can push back our second date to later in the week.

Should I explain what's going on? Should I just ask to change the date, knowing it might need to be changed again if the results are good? I'm not worried about the brain cyst, I can handle my medical stuff, I just don't want to mess up my chances with this pretty lady 🥲

Side note: if by some miracle things work out and I don't tell her about my medical BS, and one thing leads to another, there's a non-zero chance I could start lactating while her mouth is on my tit.

I also worry that I was a hard sell with just my regular chronic illness/pain. Now I have to convince someone I'm worth dating despite that AND possible complications from this.
