Is the thorn armor any good for a melee build?

I’m thinking of making a new set of armor that would have mutants, 2 strength, thru hikers and possibly bruisers full set and I was looking at thorn armor and its set bonus causes bleed which works well with deal sealer as my chainsaw has the flamer mod and the enemy will be crippled. Oh and I am running a feral melee build
