No Notification Sound

Hello!!! So when I allow imessages on my iPad it does not let me get notification sounds to my phone or watch. They make no noise and I went to the apple store and they said there is no help it is a software issue. But I've been having this issue for over a year now. I lowkey tried everything and its kinda annoying that my iPad is just a sitting duck when it comes to communication.
